Overall Beauty (Stockist):

Wonder Beauty Products Superchic Lacquer Sleigh Ride Wonderland Collection
All formulas were near identical and of excellent quality, layering easily. They are in a jelly - crelly base, so layering is necessary for opaqueness. All swatches are 3 coats (except the last, Christmas Evie, which is 2 coats) with Glisten and Glow HK Girl top coat.
Superchic Lacquer Ugly Sweater Party - a grey base (for the wool sweater) and funky green and gorgeous ice blue glitters. Uh. sorry, not ugly at all ;)

Glam Polish Pixie Hollow Collection Swatch and Review plus Ikat Argyle Nail Art for Nail It! Magazine

press sample
Hi everyone! I've got such a fun line to show you today. An Indie brand that is new to me as well. Glam Polish can be found on facebook and purchased worldwide from these sites: or email at for more info
Now let's look! I have 5 out of the 7 shades and 1 of the 2 top coat shades from the Pixie Hollow collection. Let me start by saying the formula on each of these was very consistent and absolutely perfect. Each swatch is two coats with Glisten and Glow HK Girl top coat, unless I've written that it's top coated with The Glam Polish holo top coat, Gliss.

I'm also sharing with you a mini nail art tutorial look I created for Nail It! online magazine  using Glam Polish Silvermist topped with Gliss (and Lime Crime Crema De Limon)

Vivid Lacquer Once More With Feeling Collection Swatch and Review

press sample
OK, better late than never, right? I have a Halloween collection to show you today. I'll be working through past due reviews for the next few weeks. This set is based off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and is titled 'Once More With Feeling.' It is part of a collaboration with another indie makeup company owner, Sarah of Sweet Libertine. She will be launching matching eyeshadow for six of the shades (the seventh, I Wouldn't Eat Your Brains, is not part of the Buffy collection, but part of the general Halloween release). These are still available, last time I checked, for $9 each at the Vivid Lacquer Etsy shop. Stay in the loop by liking Vivid Lacquer on facebook.
Once More With Feeling colors include:
Red - Some Monster in Her Man (not pictured)
Purple - Bored Now
Blue - Five By Five
Brown - Band Candy
Green - The Bitch is Back
Grey - Demon Magnet
Stand alone shade is - I'd Never Eat Your Brains

Vivid Lacquer Bored Now an easy favorite for me. Two coats, good formula.

Digital Dozen Black and White Nail Art with OPI Liquid Sand

press sample
Dear readers!!
You may have noticed a sharp decrease in the amount of posts I made this month. It's truly been one of the more challenging months I've had in many many years. If you follow my facebook and/or my Instagram accounts you may already know, my husband lost his job late last month and both my boys (4 yrs old) have been feeling sick on and off since September. Well my little one spiked a fever of 106-107 (one of the scariest nights of my life) and was diagnosed with pneumonia the next day.

I'm so appreciative of all the sweet words from so many of you and I apologize for not being able to respond back to each and every one of you. It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful community that exists in this polish world we find ourselves in. <3 I am thrilled to report, much medicine and doctor visits (and tons of mommy love) later, they are both finally feeling much better and I am able to fervently get back to work blogging :) I have fallen behind and have so so much to share with you. Hope you won't mind some double post days.

I was very sad to not be able to finish last month's Digital Dozen challenge which was "skittles". In fact, I created some but didn't get to those will make an appearance soon. This month which I missed entirely was "black and white". I really wanted to do something, even late, so I created these two easy (and fast) nail art looks and like them both!  Hope you enjoy and I can't wait to get back on a more regular schedule! xo
The first black and white I created was a simple gradient but I used OPI texture shades to give it something special. I started with one coat of OPI Solitaire from the Bond Girls collection and then sponged on that and OPI Emotions from the Mariah Carey Holiday 2013 collection.
Definitely liked the way this turned out. Simple, for sure and yet also striking on the nails. And sparkly :D

Another simple one, a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and dots with slightly watered down black acrylic paint. I did it this way to make some of the dots larger than a dotting tool allows. Not one of my favorite designs, but I'll take it :P Something so classy about black and white designs, right?

All the best to you!
P.S. Take a minute to check out the amazing talent the other ladies produced for this month!!

KBShimmer Blogger 2013 Collection Swatch and Review plus GIVEAWAY

 press sample
I shared with you The Blogger and Winter collection press release from KBShimmer. Today I have swatches of the entire 11 shades in the Blogger collection, including the shade Christy Rose of KBShimmer created with me! That's right! I was asked to be a part of this insanely talented group of ladies and I'm incredibly honored and grateful. It was really fun and easy working with Christy Rose and she created exactly what I envisioned. I couldn't be happier. This post is picture heavy! Hope you make it to the end because KBShimmer was so so generous to include extras for a giveaway for you guys! xo
These are on sale now for $8.75 a bottle and can be purchased at Http://  For sales outside of the US visit KBShimmer will also be offering free priority shipping through 12/31 for all orders over $50.
All swatches have KBShimmer Basic Training base coat and KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat. One more thing before we start with the photo love and actual reviews...I had a terrible break on my middle finger right after receiving this amazing box to review. I patched it quite remarkably with Orly Nail Rescue, but I just wanted to let you know..if you see anything wonky looking (ie not smooth) on my middle finger it's that..not the polish in any way. OK, now let's see!!

KBShimmer Snow Much Fun  – Victoria from The Manicurator (that's me!) – A  light blue jelly  with light blue holo glitter, white glitters in several sizes and finishes, a sprinkling of micro holographic glitter, and white snowflake glitter. 3 Coats Recommended
