Vivid Lacquer Once More With Feeling Collection Swatch and Review

press sample
OK, better late than never, right? I have a Halloween collection to show you today. I'll be working through past due reviews for the next few weeks. This set is based off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and is titled 'Once More With Feeling.' It is part of a collaboration with another indie makeup company owner, Sarah of Sweet Libertine. She will be launching matching eyeshadow for six of the shades (the seventh, I Wouldn't Eat Your Brains, is not part of the Buffy collection, but part of the general Halloween release). These are still available, last time I checked, for $9 each at the Vivid Lacquer Etsy shop. Stay in the loop by liking Vivid Lacquer on facebook.
Once More With Feeling colors include:
Red - Some Monster in Her Man (not pictured)
Purple - Bored Now
Blue - Five By Five
Brown - Band Candy
Green - The Bitch is Back
Grey - Demon Magnet
Stand alone shade is - I'd Never Eat Your Brains

Vivid Lacquer Bored Now an easy favorite for me. Two coats, good formula.

Vivid Lacquer Five by Five  I needed 3 coats for even coverage and formula dragged a bit, but I do love the end result.

Vivid Lacquer Band Candy lovey Autumn brown that was opaque in 2 coats. No problems with formula.

This is Band Candy stamped with Seche Vite Intuition using Vivid Lacquer plate VL 006
Vivid Lacquer The Bitch is Back another 2 coater, with easy application. I've never been much a green lover, but this one works. A perfectly Fall green.

Vivid Lacquer Demon Magnet my absolute fave from the group! Excellent formula, opaque in 2 coats. This is the one I didn't want to take off.

Here you see my attempts with stamping using Vivid Lacquer plate VL 005 over Demon Magnet. The stamping went very well, it's just I'm not good at picking the right stamping polishes yet! Silly me thought those dark colors would show up on Demon Magnet.

Vivid Lacquer I'd Never Eat Your Brains needed 3 coats to cover completely and had the most challenging application. The addition of a certain type of flakie, I've always found increases the application effort needed. This one definitely has a dark, Halloweeny feel to it!
What are your thoughts? Any of these jumping out at you, screaming your name? That's the way my dear high school girlfriend and I used to shop! If it was just whispering or calling our name, we wouldn't buy. But if it was SCREAMING? Well then we couldn't just walk away ;)

All the best,
Victoria
