Dotted French Nail Art for Marc Jacobs DOT

Hi everyone!
Here's another post I've been looking forward to sharing with you! A few weeks ago I was asked to join StyleList's Curator Network! I'm excited about this partnership and look forward to great things to come. Check out their Facebook and see what they are all about if you haven't liked them already.

I am able to review Marc Jacob's newest perfume, DOT through this StyleList partnership. Visit for the perfume details and how to order!

First of all...just look at this bottle!! So fun and flirty, right? You remember yesterday's gold and red mani? See that here. It was the first step for this look. I felt inspired to make some complimentary nail art the moment I saw DOT. No need for me to talk about how I feel about nail art, right? I've fallen head over heels for it this year, and that love affair is going to be a lasting one. Hope I'm still rocking polka dot nails when I'm 70 :P

Onto the perfume...imagine this combination: a top note blend of red berries, succulent dragonfruit, and sweet honeysuckle, this gives the fragrance its cheerfulness. The lush floral heart of the fragrance blooms with amazing sweet jasmine, notes of coconut water and orange blossom. The scent's dry down is what keeps me hooked though, creamy vanilla, driftwood, and sensual musks.

And finally...the photos and the nail art!

Here's the packaging. Love it. This is what inspired my alternate look which I've included as well.

My beautiful Zoyas: Ziv, Rekha and Raven

I started with a full dot mani...but it wasn't the look I really you get to see them both :D I did these dots with Zoya Rekha using a dotting tool, over 2 coats of Zoya Raven.

Here's my first attempt (above) at photos using a light box. It's a softer look, less glare. But I think I prefer how I usually shoot the photos. Gimme some SHINE :)
And some final looks of the mani on it's own. I really loved it. It managed to be fun and elegant at the same time. I used a Born Pretty plate to stamp on the dots.

Hope you like my DOTS! I always ask...but I really want to know...which one do you like better? Do you think DOT is a fragrance you would like?

Have a great day :)

Elegant French Tips, simple nail art with Zoya Ziv and Rekha

Hey everyone!!

I've got a quick and easy nail art look on today. I think it's an elegant and festive look :) I feel like I could wear this during the day, or bring these nails to the holiday office party (except I don't work in an office). Hehehe
I applied 2 coats of Zoya Ziv and let dry completely. Then I just used a strip of blue painter's tape (this works better for me than scotch tape) to block off the gold, leaving the tips open. I painted 2 coats of Zoya Rekha on the tips for an extended french.

I love how these turned out. It's fun when something so easy makes such an impact. Have you mastered the taped mani yet?

Have a great day!

OPI Euro Centrale Spring 2013 Collection - The Blues, Swatch and Review

How excited am I to be able to show you, perhaps, your first look at these!! I am the lucky recipient of the new blues, not yet released, from OPI's Spring 2013 Collection. Someone very close to me was working with a magazine's editorial team and was able to (with permission!) gift these to me! Yes, I am beyond thrilled!!
From the OPI Euro Centrale Collection, I have OPI Can't Find My Czechbook, OPI I Saw...U Saw...We Saw...Warsaw, and OPI OPI...Eurso Euro. I used 2 coats and Seche Vite top coat for all of these. Application was easy. The first one (Can't find my Czeckbook) was a tiny bit streaky. But barely noticeable. The last one shown in the pics (I Saw...U Saw...We Saw...Warsaw) was a tiny bit thin, a little more prone to flooded cuticles. Also, not too noticeable. Be warned! This post is huge with photos. These are such beautiful blues, I couldn't narrow down any more! Let's look!! :D
  I Saw...U Saw...We Saw...Warsaw, Can't Find My Czechbook and OPI...Eurso Euro
Can't Find My Czechbook. A stunner. I'm a sucker for blues, as much as pink might be my favorite is my favorite nail color. A perfect aqua-ish light blue.

OPI...Eurso Euro. I'm crazy in love with this one. Superb application. A bright medium blue.

I Saw...U Saw...We Saw...Warsaw. Gorgeous midnight blue cream.

And there we have it!!! I know this is the Spring 2013 Collection, but I do believe each of these are timeless, and can and should be worn year round. Which is your favorite? :)

Have a great day!
