Dior Diorific Jewel Manicure Duo Golden Winter Holiday 2013
press sample
Hi there! Hope you are well on this weirdly warm first day of Winter! I have the last of my Dior Golden Winter Holiday 2013 collection to show you today. You can see my previous posts here and here. Both include nail art looks. I love how Dior is joining the love affair that is nail art. Though the beaded or caviar look is not new, this is the first time Dior is producing a kit with beads, called Diorific Jewel Manicure Duo. It includes a stunning gold shade 312 (I couldn't find a name) and crystal pearls.
Underneath the black velvet is a clear plastic tray. It's quite easy to understand the instructions (card included) and apply the beads to a wet nails over the tray. The tray collects the excess beads, pour into the funnel and funnel them back into the bottle.
I am one of those beauty lovers who falls hard for presentation and packaging. Yes. I love this.
I wanted to include this photo (previously posted) to show the gorgeousness of this gold. In two coats it completely covered the deep shade of Minuit.
A look at the gold on its own with one nail "jeweled". I was curious how the crystal pearls would look over the nail art vs over the gold alone.
Honestly, I like both looks, but especially over the gold alone. It's hard to see in the photos, but the gold underneath gives a glow from within to the pearls that feels rich, hope you understand what I mean.
This is definitely not an everyday look, but would work for a special day, a party without fail. And it's not at all hard to do.
What do you think? Are you a fan of this look? Do you like a 3D/textured nail?
These are available now on counter and Dior.com. Each Diorific retails for $26 and the Jewel Manicure Duo is $39.
All the best, Victoria
What an amazing manicure! Must have taken a while to place all those little beads too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! Actually, it's really easy, and not time consuming. You just pour the beads over a freshly painted nail and they stick to it :D
ReplyDeleteHoly cow this is STUNNING on you!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic idea to make them "crystal" and let the colour underneath shine through! I can see what you mean about the gold too--it looks radiant!
ReplyDeleteThis looks great on you!

ReplyDeleteYou are so creative! Caviar nails aren't really usually appealing to me, but this actually looks nice
ReplyDeleteGreat set, this would make a nice gift. The caviar beads work as an accent nail.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! It's perfect :-)
ReplyDeleteI love it with the pearls!
ReplyDeleteIt's really cute and I love the nails! I'm not a fan of the caviar beads, I couldn't get into it, I would totally wear them though if I had this mani!
