Nicole by OPI New Nail Lacquers for 2014 Flower Stamping Decal Nail Art
press sample
I told you I'd give you flowers next! Here they are :) I'm so so happy it's starting to feel like Spring in NY! How's your weather? I've been wanting to try a stamping decal for a while...and it was both easy and hard..so let me show you..
I stamped my design with Konad white stamping polish.
I painted in the petals using the Nicole by OPI shades, let dry a few minutes then painted with a (NON fast dry) top coat. I let dry for a few hours. Once it is dry it lifts of easily with a tweezer. Trim the edges and apply over tacky nails.
Nicole by OPI That's Putting it Mild, I Shop Mintage, Oh That's Just Grape, At Least I Pink So, I'll Have The Salmon, Teal Me Something New
I started with Nicole by OPI That's Putting it Mild - a good formula, a tad on the thin side. I used 2-3 coats. I used tape to add my mint and teal accents. Then I added top coat to apply my flower decals, and top coated once decals were on.
I think the flowers came out great, but the transfer to the nail wasn't perfect. You can see some air pockets underneath that I couldn't smooth out.
Of course I had to see it matted. I'm quite pleased with this matte top coat. I've tried others that don't fully matte, but this works great.
Have you tried this method yet? Any troubles with air bubbles underneath? Which do yo like better, the glossy or matte?
