Digit-al Dozen Fashion Week J Crew Sweater Nail Art

PR sample
Hello loves!! Another month, another Digit-al Dozen week! I have been looking forward to this theme for months!! And yet, when it came time...I kind of froze. I have so many bookmarked, pinned and ripped out of magazine ideas, but I just couldn't narrow it down. This...very simple design kept coming back to my brain. I know, it's not very challenge like. In fact, it didn't challenge me at all. And yet, I love it. I'm having an incredibly rough week. My best friend's mom just passed and I'll be last minute traveling to Europe for the funeral. My brother and sister will be watching my 4 year old boys because my husband coincidentally will be traveling for business at the same time. I've got a lot on my mind and packing to get done for the second time this summer. I've barely unpacked from the family vacation we took last month. OK, enough of that. On to the mani!!
I literally pulled this out of a J Crew catalog. I know this design has been done countless times, but I just love the simplicity of it, and the clean, neutral colors.

Here's the first stage. I used three coats of Zoya Purity and let it dry. Then I used striping tape to block off the side section and painted in Zoya Jacqueline (2 coats). I used drying drops to speed along the drying process. I thought this mani looked cool just like this even!

After Jacqueline was dry, I taped off the second section and painted in Zoya Flynn (2 coats), which is brand new for Fall 2013. Finished with top coat and done.

A last look at my inspiration. Yep. I'm liking this a lot!! Wish I could wear it longer than a day. Sigh..the only reason I don't like challenges..that and the fact that I'm very good at leaving things until the last minute. Sigh...one day I'll plan ahead. Right?

See you tomorrow :)
