Digital Dozen Black and White Nail Art with OPI Liquid Sand

Dear readers!!
You may have noticed a sharp decrease in the amount of posts I made this month. It's truly been one of the more challenging months I've had in many many years. If you follow my facebook and/or my Instagram accounts you may already know, my husband lost his job late last month and both my boys (4 yrs old) have been feeling sick on and off since September. Well my little one spiked a fever of 106-107 (one of the scariest nights of my life) and was diagnosed with pneumonia the next day.

I'm so appreciative of all the sweet words from so many of you and I apologize for not being able to respond back to each and every one of you. It never ceases to amaze me the wonderful community that exists in this polish world we find ourselves in. <3 I am thrilled to report, much medicine and doctor visits (and tons of mommy love) later, they are both finally feeling much better and I am able to fervently get back to work blogging :) I have fallen behind and have so so much to share with you. Hope you won't mind some double post days.

I was very sad to not be able to finish last month's Digital Dozen challenge which was "skittles". In fact, I created some but didn't get to post...so those will make an appearance soon. This month which I missed entirely was "black and white". I really wanted to do something, even late, so I created these two easy (and fast) nail art looks and like them both!  Hope you enjoy and I can't wait to get back on a more regular schedule! xo
The first black and white I created was a simple gradient but I used OPI texture shades to give it something special. I started with one coat of OPI Solitaire from the Bond Girls collection and then sponged on that and OPI Emotions from the Mariah Carey Holiday 2013 collection.
Definitely liked the way this turned out. Simple, for sure and yet also striking on the nails. And sparkly :D

Another simple one, a base of two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and dots with slightly watered down black acrylic paint. I did it this way to make some of the dots larger than a dotting tool allows. Not one of my favorite designs, but I'll take it :P Something so classy about black and white designs, right?

All the best to you!
~Victoria
P.S. Take a minute to check out the amazing talent the other ladies produced for this month!!

  11. I hope your boy are doing okay now. Sometime when it rains it ours when it comes to the bad stuff that can happen in our lives- I've certainly been experiencing that myself. But it always gets better - we just have to keep reminding ourselves of this. Glad to see you back- I've missed reading your posts!
