KBShimmer Early Summer 2014 Holo Nail Art

all!! You probably already know that KBShimmer has just released their
second Summer collection! WOO HOO! I don't know about you, but I can't
get enough KBShimmer. Not to tease...but I haven't gotten a chance to
swatch the newest ones yet as we are right in the middle of selling our
house. Here's where you can find them: KBShimmer Summer in addition to new nail vinyls which I can't wait to try!
In
the meantime I wanted to show you the design I came up with to show off
all of the holos from the Early Summer collection (still available).
One of the many things I love about KBShimmer is you rarely need to
stress that your shade is going to sell out or be discontinued. They
always have stock and allow plenty of time before they discontinue a
shade. So if you haven't picked up any on your wishlist you can when you
are ready.
I
wanted to show off each holo shade, there are 6 shades from the Early
Summer collection. I don't think I'd normally put these all in the same
mani..but I'm pleased with how it turned out.
Here's the look without top coat. I started with two coats of the black holo: Stark Raven Mad once that was dry I used striping tape to block off my designs and added second holo shade.
All 6 polishes have an excellent formula and beautiful linear holo. I
found the silver, Pt Young Thing to have the strongest holo effect. The next photo is with KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat.
You might be able to see a slight diminishing of the holo effect as
some top coats do that, but not much. Keep in mind, these photos are
shot with an indoor daylight bulb which doesn't show off a linear holo
the way an actual sunny day does.
