Zoya Summer 2014 Tickled Watermarble Nail Art
Press sample
Hello lovely readers!! I managed to find time to make a design I haven't done in ages! But I knew the moment I saw this fun and vibrant Summer collection from Zoya that I wanted to watermarble with them. I think it turned out great! What do you think?
Zoya Tickled collection from left to right: Wendy, Tilda, Rocha, Ling, Kitridge, Rooney
I have a base of two coats of Zoya Purity. So these are watermarbled over white. I can't address opacity or quality of formula here because obviously I didn't paint them on for this manicure.
Zoya Kitridge a classic bubble gum creme, balanced between warm and cool
a
classic summer bubblegum pink cream. This universally flattering
(evenly balanced between cool & warm) has enough white to make it
pop against a tan! - See more at:

Zoya Ling a vibrant royal blue creme. You can see the blue bled into the light pink and the red-orange on most nails. I'm sure it was user error as I don't have much experience with watermarbling, but even so..I think the outcome is beautiful.
Ling
by Zoya can be best described as a vibrant royal blue cream that is
evenly balanced to flatter most skin tones. - See more at:

Zoya Rochas a classic folly red creme with warm undertones.
Zoya Rooney a mid-range magenta pink creme. I simply can't pick a favorite from this collection but if I absolutely had to it would be this beautiful pink!
Zoya Tilda a warm mantis green creme. Mantis as in praying mantis! The descriptions are via Zoya.com and I was like..uh...what's mantis green?
Zoya Wendy a juicy summer melon shade. I used to shy away from peaches, melons, salmon and corals. Now that I'm a bona-fide nail polish enthusiast there's almost no shade I truly dislike anymore. That's probably why you hear me rave and say how I love it...no matter the color :P
Do you have a favorite finger? Mine is a tie between the ring finger and thumb :)
Zoya Tickled are $9 and are available at zoya.com
All the best,

Awesome marble, Victoria! It came out great.
ReplyDeleteWow turned out amazing! I like how vibrant they are.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Sarah! I was bummed it looked so good because it was in the middle of a swatch fest and I couldn't wear it for long. Such a shame!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa! yeah, loving these colors!
ReplyDeleteThis looks really great! Love how great the colors look together. I wished, water marble would work like that for me. But now that I see your design, I think I need to try it again. :)
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing!! Is this when you dip them in the water to get this effect?
ReplyDeleteoh wow, i totally admire someone who can marble like that! or at all! great to see zoyas working so well for it! makes me keen to give it another whirl!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I would have been bummed too. You'll have to marble again soon!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, I almost can't believe it's real! :-) Excellent work here.
ReplyDeleteHi, love these nails. Fabulous. Luckily I already have most of the colours from Zoya already. I would be so grateful if you could tell us "how to" marble. Also of the time when I am on blogs, I see the finished product and they tell me what they did to achieve the look, but not how to. These nails are fabulous so I really would appreciate just a really quick how to. Thanks so much. Take care x
ReplyDeleteThis is so stunning. I saw you post it in a FB group yesterday and my jaw hit the floor! Now there is a jaw-shaped hole in my floor. ;) This is amazing!
ReplyDeleteOne of the best marbling I've seen! Great work!
ReplyDeletewow! amazing colors, love it
ReplyDeleteOMG, it's really beautiful! :-) I'm in war with watermarble so your manicure is simply a miracle to me! :-)
ReplyDeleteStumbled onto your blog thanks to Nailpolishcanada's FB page. This water marbling is beautiful and you have the most perfect cuticles ever! I ordered Kitridge and Wendy the other day; can't wait to get them in the mail :)
ReplyDeleteI bow to your marbling skills! These are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is INCREDIBLE! Did you only do one drop of each color?
ReplyDeleteI just happened to randomly stumble across your blog, and I'm so glad I did! This is absolutely adorable!!! I'm actually just getting into nail polish (even though I'm 33!) and would love to try this - though I have a feeling mine wouldn't come out looking anywhere near as great as yours did! Regardless, you've definitely found a new follower right here!
ReplyDeletePS: I'm amazed that the colors came out so vibrant & that you got such a beautiful coat using the watermarbling - it's so perfect, it looks like you just painted your nails with "marble-colored" polish! Is there any chance you could do a how-to post on your technique? I've see it done on paper before and the colors came out really toned down, so I'd love to see exactly how you did it!
ReplyDeleteI too think these are great, amazing really!! It's a perfect marble an it looks fantastic, the colours are all so nice in this mani. I think my favourite designs are the middle and ring finger :)
ReplyDeleteHoly water marble batman!!
ReplyDeleteOkay.. these look so amazing I must copy you and do a water marble with these colors. I will be sure to give you credit! Awesome! Just AWESOME!!!
Haha thanks!! Would love to see yours!! Thrilled I have inspired you :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Gillian!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice compliment! Thanks so much Lauren! And don't worry you are NEVER too old for nail polish :D :D My family is relocating from NY to Washington state this Summer, once we're settled in on the other side..and my boys start full day kindergarten I'm going to try to have more tutorials and maaaybe vides :P I do think using a base of white polish made these colors pop the way they did as a watermarble. Does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteHi Katie! Thank you so much! I did only use one drop of each color!
ReplyDeleteNever thought I'd hear those words! LOL Thanks!! :D
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet to take the time to comment!! Thanks and I hope you stick around : )
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine there's anything you have trouble with, you are so talented! To be honest, I think I just have had random luck with it!
ReplyDeleteThey are all lovely, right? :D
ReplyDeleteWOW! That means a lot, thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing :P
ReplyDeleteI was so impressed with how these watermarbled, hope you have luck next time you try!
ReplyDeleteAww!! Super sweet. Thank you! xo
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle! I wish I were good at making videos, but I haven't started that yet..here's one I found helpful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCmQgAnAXTg
ReplyDeletehahaha!!! Thanks sweetie :)
ReplyDeleteWow! This is a PHENOMENAL water marble!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe sixties called - they want their psychedelic fingernails back. Seriously, what a fantabulous water-marble! It reminds me of the Beatles, and Peter Maxx, and Laugh-In (not that I remember any of that personally, lol). I'd be well-pleased if my water-marbling came out half as well!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, this is so sweet of you to go to this trouble. I really do appreciate it. Thank you very much. So delighted I found your blog. Take care x
ReplyDeleteYes. I think that is why I love the design so much too. Groovy.
ReplyDeleteGreat, love it!
ReplyDeleteI just love it....
