KBShimmer Spring 2016 Glitters and Holos Swatch, Review and Nail Art

Are you ready for Spring? I know I am. And I know I say it every year, Spring is usually my favorite collection(s) of the year! The combinations of pastels, milky hues and bits of bold with an emphasis on the blooming florals we look forward to each year just make me smile. Today I have the first half of KBShimmer Spring 2016, where I'll show you the 7 glitter crellies, holos and glitter shades. I can easily say that KBShimmer will be releasing yet another stunning collection of 14 shade on March 15, 2016. I will also be reviewing the new nail care products: Oh Matte!, Love You Strong Time Nail Strengthener, and Fillin' Groovy 

 KBShimmer Upside Round - If you’re a good 90’s child, neon makes your heart flutter! This glitter top coat can add a punch of color to your nails with neon circle glitters in a rainbow of bright shades. 1 coat of your favorite white is 90’s perfection! 

How perfect is this glitter for summer? I love it! As you can see, I hand placed the glitters where I wanted them. Love the way thy look like this!

 KBShimmer Purr-fectly Paw-some - New to our Ultra Flair line up, Purr-fectly Paw-some is a pastel moody blue linear holographic polish with steel gray and lavender undertones. A relaxing twist on a traditional periwinkle shade. Based on the Pantone 2016 Spring/Summer shade Serenity.

KBShimmer Peony Pincher - New to our Ultra Flair line up, Peony Pincher is a pastel pink with lavender undertones. This floral linear holographic polish shines best in bright lights.

 KBShimmer  Hello Dahlia - A dusty peach shade, this shimmery orange creally sparkles with micro holo dust and golden micro flakes. Based on the Pantone 2016 Spring/Summer shade Peach Echo.

 The three shades I used here (other than the handle placed glitter) were very easy to apply, I needed two coats for opacity and they had excellent formula. No issues at all.

 KBShimmer I Wet My Plants - This pastel periwinkle crelly features a garden full of colorful glitters in pink, sapphire, silver and purple. Based on the Pantone 2016 Spring/Summer shade Serenity. 

Great formula and no issues with application. I used three coats here to get the full layered effect of those glitters.

 KBShimmer I Wet My Plants with Oh Matte! - Apply this product over any nail polish color to create a matte finish! For best results, use over very dry polish, or a dry layer of quick dry top coat.  Apply a layer in as few strokes as possible, for a smooth, velvet look!  Avoid too think of coats to ensure the best matte look.

 OK, so this matte top coat is most probably the best matte I've ever used. It works like a dream and gives an amazing matte finish. I wanted to MATTE EVERYTHING. 

 KBShimmer Prints Charming - Like an abstract painting, this white crelly polish has pops of colors in fuchsia, turquoise, and sapphire. Layering in 3 coats gives this polish the depth and dimension of quality art work.

 Another fantastic formula. Love the glitter combo and I've been a fan of white glitter shades since they first hit the Indie scene! I have three coats here. 

 KBShimmer Prints Charming with Oh Matte! This shade matte is soooo awesome. I very rarely wear anything more than once, and this one is going to stay out on the work desk..to make an appearance on the nails again!

 KBShimmer Pools Paradise with Oh Matte! - A lightened, green leaning aqua, Pool Paradise offers pops of neon pink, periwinkle and aqua glitters. Based on the Pantone 2016 Spring/Summer shade Limpet Shell.

 As much as aqua is "my" color..I wasn't crazy about this one at first. The sparseness of the glitters threw me off, I'm not used to that type of glitter anymore. it's usually all out or none. But this one grew on me and now I love it for the sparseness! Check out the ring finger which is matte. Yummy! 

 *I've also been using the new ridge filling base coat and nail strengthener. I love Fillin' Groovy (the base coat) and find it easy to apply with a consistent smoothing formula. The Love You Strong Time Nail Strengthener also goes on well, but has a thinner consistency than I am used to. I can't really say how it effects nail strength as my nails were already strong when testing it. I will say that I wouldn't use it alone as my base coat unless I did need it for strengthening purposes as it feels a bit to thin for my liking. I much prefer the smoothing slightly thicker coat of  Fillin' Groovy, which will probably become my go to base coat from here on out :)
