April Showers Bring May Flowers - Glitter Tips
Hi polish lovers :)
Here's my next entry for the ASBMF challenge. When I first looked through the list of 14 and saw "Glitter Tips" I thought to myself BOOYAH. Cause I adore glitter, this one would be easy. But let me tell you, this one took me so long to nail down. Nail!! Get it? Anyway, I knew in my head what I wanted, it just took a lot of trial and error before I decided on this exact one, and I'm happy I did, because I do really like it. I even managed to get my right hand done (I'm a righty) looking as good or better than my left hand. How is that even possible? I saw a pin of Polish Amor's nails from this post http://polishamor.blogspot.com/2011/11/happy-birthday-to-wonderful-friend.html which gave me the inspiration for these.
I used OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls from the new Spiderman collection as the base. It's a dreamy ever so slightly grey white. Perfect in 2 coats.
The glitters: A non named Teal colored Stripe Rite, Sally Hansen Rockstar Pink, Big Money and Showgirl Chic from the Gems collection, Milani Silver dazzle and Gold Glitz from the one coat glitter collection.
I chose glitters that were small or micro to get this look and it's hard to capture the sparkle on camera the way it looks in person, but I love the feeling like they are dripping down the nail. What would you name this manicure? "Wet glitter?" "Glitter drips?"
As always, I encourage you to check out all the other bloggers who are participating in the April Showers Bring May Flowers Challenge!

Ooh! I really like this. The glitter colors look great on the cream finish white.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Originally I wanted to use a black base, glad I didn't :)
