How are you tonight? I'm sharing with you my second design using this awesome Color Club collection, Love Tahiry. I created my Valentine's nails this year with this collection as well. After using all 7 of the shades I can tell you they are keepers :)

Are you liking this groovy look as much as me?

Color Club Seal it with a Kiss has a strawberry scent. A perfect peach creme.

As much as I like this shade, and the formula was great, 2 coats here, I wasn't sure if I liked it on my skin tone. Once I added the black studs (from Sally Hansen Nail Art kit) though it took on a new look. I'm not one to add 3D embellishments very often, but I just loved the understated elegance! The slight strawberry smell was actually nice too, not too overwhelming for my super sensitive sense of smell either.

Color Club Tall, Dark & Handsome has a cologne scent. A dark gray creme.

Lovely shade, great formula. The only problem here, for me, is the scent. Not a fan of the scent of this one.

I used KBShimmer Wavy lines nail vinyls and I think the combo of these colors really hits it out of the park! *Please note if you noticed anything wonky about my Index finger, it's the nail patch NOT the polish that is behaving badly.

What do you think? Do you like the simple nail art, the color combo, the studs?

  8. I don't think Seal it with a Kiss looks bad against your skin tone. I thought it was very complimentary! Great manis too. Black goes with everything!

  9. I love this nail art! That collection has some great colors, but I don't care for scented polish personally. The dark grey was one of my fav's from it.

  12. Aw thank you!! I guess I never used to like peach tones so I still don't, but just maybe they don't look as bad as I used to think :P

  13. Thank you Emily, and I usually don't like peachy shades but this one is great!

  14. Hi! Thank you, love to have you reading <3

  15. Ha, I hear you!! Seems like a strange concept to me too...that said...I actually loved wearing this white shade, it was like wearing a lightly chocolate scented body lotion...that didn't wear off (and was only on my nails)!

  16. Awesome! I've been binge watching Mad Men so maybe the era infected my brain (in a good way!)

  17. I've been reading "wonky" for a couple weeks or so now in your posts when you describe your index finger nail break and it still makes me grin. It's such a great word!

I have used the tea bag patch method with success but never so long! Especially considering the patch dissolves in acetone and must be reapplied every time you take your nail art/swatch off (or does it somehow not dissolve?).

I'm wondering (hoping hard, actually) if you would do a post showing your tea bag patch process? I know there are other posts and/or videos with this information you could refer us to. I just have a feeling the way you apply the technique would be very beneficial to learn. Thank you for considering this! Delphi

  18. Hi Delphi!! Ha I'm glad I can put a smile on your face! I feel like I always need to mention it so readers don't think I had an issue with the polish.

I am thrilled the patch has lasted this long too, it's really enabling the break to grow completely out and saved me from filing them all down too! I did actually take a few pics of the process and I will certainly consider putting a post together on it. I'm not a nail tech and never think of myself as an authority on the matter..but seeing as it's lasted so long I guess I got something good going on :P And you know I have used remover tons during this last month. I only use Zoya Remove though which isn't pure acetone! I've only had to reapply a thin layer of nail glue over the top twice since first patching (5 weeks ago!)

Thanks for reading and commenting <3

  19. I like everything about it!!! This looks so clean.

  20. Those designs look almost like robotic in a way... not in a bad way - it's just so uniform, clean and the colors are really bold. I like it a lot.

  21. I don't use Zoya Remove. I wish I could afford that product regularly to remove my polish. Nor do I use pure acetone. I use acetone I get from Sally Beauty Supply. It has some of the same formula ingredients as Zoya Remove, but does not have the extra emollients or whatever that makes Zoya Remove kinder to skin/cuticles. Even though I don't use pure acetone, the tea bag patch, when I must use it, still easily comes off when I remove a mani. I'm glad to hear you did take some pictures. I'll just keep my fingers crossed you do a post on this. Thanks!

  22. This is such a unique design! I love it, and the mix of colors. And I agree, I wore TD&H out yesterday and I kept smelling cologne everywhere, LOL.

  23. Haha that's a first! Never gotten a "robotic" compliment before, and yes totally see that now that you say it! Thank you :)

  24. It's so hard to come up with unique these days so I truly thank you! :D

  25. Beautiful mani! What's the 'stickiness' level of the KB decals? I have found that most of the vinyls I've tried aren't sticky enough for my liking. Would you say these are more or less sticky than other indie vinyls on the market?

  26. Both are beautiful and the combination is perfect! :-)

  27. Love this look. The colour combination is fantastic. Thanks for sharing and inspiring us.
