Picture Polish Honeymoon, Paris, Cyan, Moscow and Lakodom Nail Art plus That Remover and Those Wipes Review

Press sample
It's with humble appreciation that I am showing you a design that includes the Picture Polish shade Honeymoon that I created for the October 2014 release of collaborations. I have combined the other non-glitter shades from the same release date *note - new formulation of Paris* for this argyle design. I love how it turned out! At the end of the post I give my thoughts on piCture pOlish's new That Remover and Those Wipes!

Here's my baby. Inspired by the crystal clear seafoam green and aqua waters of my Honeymoon in the Caribbean!

I love how my shade shimmers and sparkles just as I wanted, like the sun(set) glimmers over the Caribbean Sea!

I started with 2-3 coats of LakoDom and top coated with piCture pOlish Gloss On Top. Then I used vinyl straights from KBShimmer in a criss cross pattern. Filled in the diamond shapes with Honeymoon, Moscow, Paris and Cyan in no particular order or pattern.

Another round of piCture pOlish Gloss On Top and done! I love how these seemingly incongruent shades look so good together!

Here I have Paris (reborn). I don't have the original to compare but here's the post from Quiche Girl for the original and her post for reborn shade is linked further down.

I actually like that there is no actual color pattern here. Just random colors :)

The piCture pOlish collaborations released at the same time as mine: LakoDom by Polina Koroleva, Cyan by Chit Chat Nails, Paris By Quiche Girl and Moscow by Sasha Plein. Also released the same time as mine but not included here are Minty by La Paillette Frondeuse and Never Nude by Will Paint Nails For Food

Both the liquid and pads have the same water based remover. I used them to remove this manicure, in the same way I'd used my regular remover. For the liquid I pulled off 5 small tufts of cotton ball, wet each piece and let it sit and soak on the nail for a couple of minutes. Then swiped off polish with tufts. It is true, there are ZERO fumes. It will also take you longer to get your polish off. I had to soak and scrub longer than if I was using my regular remover (Zoya Remove).

Each pad is soaked in remover and cleans off about two nails (keep in mind, I had a lot of coats on that needed removing). They are ideal for travel!

Overall I found it to be a pleasant experience using these even though they aren't as fast as traditional remover. They left my nails feeling very moisturized. So much so that I needed to wash the oily residue off before I could do anything else. Yes, that shine doesn't feel watery it feels oily. It's a nice change from the over-drying removers we are used to, and a pleasure not to breathe in those acetone fumes. That said this won't become my usual routine but I'm glad to have it as an option!

  14. Hi Victoria, I do enjoy your "incongruous" color combination here. Throwing in "Moscow" gives all the lighter colors a base to shine off of, if that makes sense. =)
