April Showers Bring May Flowers Challenge! - Spring Pastels
Pretty sure I've got a bolt loose in the head to agree to this. But I know it is just what I need to gain more experience and practice.
The challenge was created by Hannah from Polished Prisms and consists of 14 different themes. First theme is Spring Pastels. Here is Hannah's link to the challenge, please check out all the other ladies participating :)
My first challenge - Spring Pastels. When I thought about spring pastels, I thought hmm, Easter argyle sweater. So yeah, I used THIS as my inspiration. And I'm quite pleased with how it turned out! I'm still learning how to edit my photos, so bear with me if these still need work.
I used Essie borrowed and blue as the base. Two to three coats of this and allowed to dry completely. Then I used striping tape to mark off my argyle sections.
Always put tape on in the same way (start bottom left to top right, then place second tape bottom right to top left..that way you always pull off the top tape- top left -first) and pull off tape before your polish dries!
Misa pinky promise, Misa Little Hands and Ciate Sugar Plum for the triangles.
I must give credit to Sophie at "my awesome beauty" who taught me what striping tape was and how to use it :)
Hope you are having a great day...and the beginning of a wonderful SPRING :)
