Digit-al Dozen's Holiday Week - Christmas Nail Art

Hi....Is your shopping done? I'm pretty much done. Still have presents to wrap though! My boys are soooo excited :) Moving right along after yesterday's fail...

Here's my take on candy canes and Xmas trees :)

OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, Zoya Rekha, Ziv and Holly, OPI The Spy Who Loved Me
I made a pretty simple design, but I think it gives a pretty stunning effect for something so simple. I started with 2 coats of MBSW for the white nails and 2 coats of Ziv for the gold. Once dry, I lined up striping tape in a triangle and then inside the triangle and painted over it with Holly (the green) and carefully peeled off the tape. Then I lined up diagonal strips on the other nails and painted on the reds, Rekha and TSWLM.
The stripes came out perfect!!! Until I went to top coat! ARGGG My Seche failed me. NOoNoNooOO! I know, you can't see the red smears, because I'm crazed and went over the smears with a tiny tiny nail art brush and white.

Wish I didn't have to take this one off, it's really fun :)

See you tomorrow for the last Digit-al Dozen challenge of the month!

  2. Very pretty and festive. I've seen many Christmas-themed manis, but not many of them are as nice as this one.

  4. I LOVEEEE THEEEESEEEEE! ugh, i know what you MEAN about your SV failing you. i hate that. i was sooo nervous when i topcoated my design for today that it would smear but thankfully it didn't. i have definitely gone over smears with a tiny nail art brush to fix them before, too!
