Tough As Nails The Dregs Collection Swatch and Review Plus Leftover Batter

Hey loves!
So happy to be showing you the newest collection from Elizabeth at Tough As Nails named The Dregs, "featuring four lacquers, The Dregs Collection was conceived from a recent obsession with drinking tea, the underbelly of Victorian culture, and a desire for a more calming collection."
(1) Builder's Tea (work-friendly milky brown glitter)
(2) Magdalene Laundry Service (work-friendly pale pink shimmer with rose dot and hex glitters)
(3) East End Girl (dusty teal with a subtle blue shimmer)
(4) The Redundant Woman (pale, grayed blurple with a subtle pink shimmer)

If you stick through to the end...it's a long post, you will get a bonus, a guest appearance from Leftover Batter, which is not part of The Dregs but I loooove it!  Described as follows: "Some leftovers are pretty gross. But not Leftover Batter! This white-based jelly is loaded up with all sorts of matte and satin glitter in squares and hexes. There's just about every shade of the rainbow in this one; no two nails are likely to be the same"

The collection goes on domestic pre-sale, as sets only, from 01/13 to 01/27. Special promotional pricing with FREE SHIPPING is as follows:
Shorty Size Set: $20
Full Size Set: $30

They'll be on Etsy or you can email Elizabeth at toughasnailslacquer@gmail.com and she will invoice you.

The Redundant Woman (pale, grayed blurple with a subtle pink shimmer)
This one gave me a little bit of trouble with application, it didn't want to level out. But as you can see, top coat evened it out and made my troubles completely worth it. All of these swatches are 3 coats with Seche top coat.

Builder's Tea (work-friendly milky brown glitter)
No problems with this one. Despite not feeling sure if it goes with my skin tone..I love it.

Magdalene Laundry Service (work-friendly pale pink shimmer with rose dot and hex glitters)
Also, no troubles with formula or application here. I'm showing 3 coats and you can see visible nail line, so you may want to layer. This is delicate and what puts it beyond the normal for me are the circle glitters and the pink shimmer. Super pretty and feminine!

East End Girl (dusty teal with a subtle blue shimmer)
This one had a similar formula to the first I showed you, where it didn't want to level out as nicely..BUT again top coat does the magic and I adore this blue on blue. Great combo.

Leftover Batter (not part of The Dregs). Described as follows: "Some leftovers are pretty gross. But not Leftover Batter! This white-based jelly is loaded up with all sorts of matte and satin glitter in squares and hexes. There's just about every shade of the rainbow in this one; no two nails are likely to be the same"
Another take on the rainbow glitter in milky base. Another winner. I've been wearing this for days actually. A rarity indeed. It's wearing like iron and I get happy every time I look down :)

Hope you love these. Are you thinking of grabbing them? Which ones?? ALL? :P

Be well!
~Victoria

  5. I LOVE The Redundant Woman and East End Girl and I like Magdalene Laundry Service and Leftover Batter. I have something kinda sorta similar to Leftover Batter but mine has shard glitter which I love cuz it's so random and different. The other glitters...hex, square, and round...are all so redundant and expected. I mean it's not that I don't like the other glitters...I even have some...I just like the shard sooo much more. And I got totally off topic LOLOL. Thanks for posting! And I hate you for owning them and making me add more to my wish list LOL.
