365 Days of Color - Color Changers Swatch and Review

Hey there!
Wow time sure has been flying! I've been working on some special assignments and swaaaatching, so it's going to be a busy week at manicurator.com :) Today I'm showing you the color change polishes from 365 Days of Color. You can shop for them right here.  And keep up with Sunny by following her FB page.
From her shop description: "When warm, the polish base is white (my favorite!) and when cold, the polish base is colored. Crazy in Love changes to a pretty pastel coral when cold and is filled with teal, berry and purple shreds!"
UGH. Shreds. You know I don't like the shreds. But I have to admit, after the application is done (this took 3 very careful coats, including tweezer removal of a shard that stuck up and would not cooperate), and I see the final effect, It's really growing on me.
If the next few pics look different...it's because they are!! I forgot to test out the color change before I took off the above polish...so I SWATCHED IT AGAIN and dipped in cold water for the next ones :D

Above and below pics are after my hand was in cold water. You can see a slight color change. It wasn't very apparent in this one for me. Unless, I needed to make it even colder.

From her shop description: "When warm, the polish base is white (my favorite!) and when cold, the polish base is colored. Glitter Princess turns a beautiful baby pink base when cold and is packed with matte glitters of all shapes and sizes in white, teal, black and hot pink!"
I used three coats here and had no problem with formula or application.
The above and below pics are after I put my hand in cold water. You can see the color change. Pretty either way!

From her shop description: "When warm, the polish base is white (my favorite!) and when cold, the polish base is colored. Ice Queen is a beautiful sky blue when cold filled with dark blue flakes."

Above is warm, and below is after cold water. I saw almost no change in this one. But it didn't matter. Love it. Easy formula and application. This is 3 coats.

And lastly, from her description: "When warm, the polish base is white (my favorite!) and when cold, the polish base is colored. Assort-Mint turns a beautiful mint green when cold and is filled with a nice green shimmer that you can even see when warm!"
I had some issues with application with this one, the formula was thicker and on the sticky side, and even after three coats there were still some thin spots. A coat of Seche helped even it out a lot. I saw a slight color change with this one. I'm wondering if my choice of top coat (Seche) played a role in how much the color changed, or didn't change.
The last two pics are after a cold water dunk. Greener for sure. But not a striking change.

Have you had success with color changers? Do you like them?

XO, Victoria

  1. Aww as pretty as they are, I don't think they live up to their color-changing claim this time :(

  2. Maybe it's cuz I live in such a cold
Country but the change in mine was more obvious and I also used seche as a top coat =)

  4. Glitter Princess is really pretty. I'm on a glitter-in-a-white-base-kick lately! I've never tried the color changers. My hands are always one temperature: COLD! :)

  8. OMG!!! Love these nail colors except for the last one =( I find the last one dull and boring unlike the others that are so classy and elegant.

  9. Ice Queen is my favourite, I really don't mind that it doesn't change the colour :-)

  10. I've had real success with the BYS color change nail polishes. I have two of them, and the change is very noticeable. I love them because the tips of my nails look like I did ombre on them.
