April Showers Bring May Flowers - Glitter Sammy

I've been really appreciating the chance to participate in this Spring Challenge and getting to know the other ladies doing this with me. I couldn't have joined a nicer group of girls. Yay!

And now, onto the manicure. The "glitter sammy". My FAVORITE! A glitter sandwich is when you start with a coat of sheer or "jelly" polish, then add a layer of glitter, then top that with a sheer or jelly polish. I literally tried out at least 9 different sammies before I decided on this one!

My jelly polish for the bottom and top coats is from the OPI Texas collection and they call it a "sorbet", not a jelly. I don't care what they call it, I adore it. They released 6 sorbets last summer and I love each one more than the next. The application is flawless and the squish factor? It's in the bottle for sure.

I used OPI Too Hot Pink to Hold Em, and then layered Sephora OPI Sugar Plum Fairies Gone Wild, Milani FX Fuchsia and silver and topped with the Too Hot Pink. Seche Vite top coat.

I love love love it! It is even better in person, with more depth and squish and glitter sparkling from every angle.

Please be sure to see what the other ladies have come up with. Here's the roll call so far:
Charlotte from Charlotte's Nails
Karine from Karinea0a
Heidi from DIY Polish & More!
Ashley from One Nail to Another
Amanda from Mandy's Polish
Sue from Creative Nail Design by Sue
And our challenge host! Hannah from Polished Prisms

Have a great day everyone!

  6. This post really REALLY inspired me to try my own sandwich. I never knew there were so many different things that could be done with nail polish.
