Curved Nail Art with OPI and Nail Candy Pen - Geometric Challenge

Good morning!
Showing you another Geometric Challenge today. This one calls for a "curved" design. I looked to fashion for my inspiration for this one, and I turned to my new Nail Candy Pens for help. I used the red from the Love Letters set. You can see all the sets and and learn all about the pens by checking out their Facebook page. I also could not wait to try out the new My Vampire is Buff from OPI Euro Centrale Collection out this month.
Euro Centrale by OPI will be available February 6, 2013, at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.
For more information, please call 800-341-9999 or visit www.opi.com. Follow OPI on Twitter @OPI_PRODUCTS and become a Facebook fan!

The first photo has Seche Vite top coat. The following photos show it without top coat.  My inspiration is a Valentino Couture 2013 dress: Pinterest image

OPI My Vampire is Buff (no top coat)
I needed 3 coats of My Vampire is Buff, and was a little disappointed. I had high hopes given the fact that OPI's My Boyfriend Scales Walls is the nicest offwhite, applying in 2 easy coats white I have. I was hoping this would match that with eggshell white. Even after 3 coats I still had some bald spots. Once the nail art went over it and it was top coated, these issues are barely noticeable so I won't write this one off, but it didn't live up to my hopes on the first try.
After I posted my last review of the Nail Candy Pen, and how it got air bubbles and dripped a bit, I got advice on how to handle that issue. They replied: "I wanted to let you and your followers in on some tips to help with the "air bubble" problem that sometimes creates uneven polish flow, or oozing polish from the tip. We have a Q&A section on the Nail Candy website that helps you out with these issues: http://www.nailcandypen.com/Q_and_A.html

Our polish bottles are flexible plastic, so when you put the brush back into the bottle to use the micro-tip applicator on the other side, squeeze the bottle until the polish is at the top of the plastic container. Keep squeezing as you screw the applicator on, and release when the applicator is completely attached. That way, it creates a vacuum that keeps the polish in the bottle. You will have MUCH more control over how much polish comes out the tip, no more oozing or air bubbles! And always remember, never press on the tip, squeeze the bottle to get polish out of the tip"
I did use the tip from the Nail Candy people and it nearly eliminated air bubbles and oozing. These are so fun to use. Not sure I'd be able to get this design done with a nail art brush, but with the pen, I feel like I can create the ideas I have in my head! I'm a fan. The photo above is without top coat. All the photos below have top coat. I took a bunch without top coat, because (especially with red) I'm nervous the top coat will smear the design.

I love these two colors together and I've always loved scroll work, so hopefully I just get better and better at making them. I feel like it fits the challenge theme "curved" anyway :P

Here's the challenge I'm working through, and please check out what the other very talented ladies created :)
