Nail Candy Pen Triangle Mosaic Nail Art - Geometric Challenge

Good morning :)
It's Day 3 for our Geometric Challenge so the word of the day is "triangle". I decided to test out my new Nail Candy Pens for this one!! I used two different sets, Let's Talk French and Live Colorfully. You can see all the sets and and learn all about the pens by checking out their Facebook page. Here's what I created.

Here are the pens. Each set comes with 4 colors that you can paint on with a paint brush or squeeze through a small pointed tip to get fine lines and shapes. It was really easy to figure out how to use these and I love that each 2 color pen comes with 2 pins to clear the tiny tube if it gets stuck with nail polish (I didn't need to use it).
I painted on one coat of the white from the Let's Talk French set. I will be honest..I was a skeptic. I did NOT think the first step would go well. I mean...how many times is a white like that problematic with application? I couldn't believe how easily and nicely this white went on! One coat and NO streaking or pulling. Yes! A great white for nail art for sure! There is definitely a learning curve with these. Sometimes a tiny air bubble comes out of the tip in the middle of your perfect line. Sometimes the polish drips out too much. But...even so, I adore these pens and think it's a great alternative to using tiny paintbrushes or using the nail art pens that are more like markers. I love that these are actually nail polish.

The first four photos I am showing you are without top coat. I liked it that way a lot. It was cool to be able to see the texture of it. The rest of the photos are with one coat of Seche and I wore these nails until I was forced to take them off (Had to swatch other polish) and I loved them <3

What do you think? Are you liking them as much as I did?

Here's the challenge I'm working through, and please check out what the other very talented ladies created :)

  5. The Nail Candy Team loves your geometric nail design! Thank you for sharing your experience with Nail Candy pens! I wanted to let you and your followers in on some tips to help with the "air bubble" problem that sometimes creates uneven polish flow, or oozing polish from the tip. We have a Q&A section on the Nail Candy website that helps you out with these issues: http://www.nailcandypen.com/Q_and_A.html

Our polish bottles are flexible plastic, so when you put the brush back into the bottle to use the micro-tip applicator on the other side, squeeze the bottle until the polish is at the top of the plastic container. Keep squeezing as you screw the applicator on, and release when the applicator is completely attached. That way, it creates a vacuum that keeps the polish in the bottle. You will have MUCH more control over how much polish comes out the tip, no more oozing or air bubbles! And always remember, never press on the tip, squeeze the bottle to get polish out of the tip.

    And have fun!
