Valentine's Day "wrapping paper" Nail Art - Digit-al Dozen Love and Heartbreak Week

Hello :)
The week of Valentine looks has begun! It's Digit-al Dozen week and we decided to do "Love and Heartbreak" for our theme. I wanted to be a little unconventional for the first look, so I decided to make Valentine's Day wrapping paper :) I used Nail Candy Pens Love Letter set. You can see all the sets and and learn all about the pens by checking out their Facebook page. This was the first time I tried these pens, and had some trouble with air bubbles and getting an even flow through the tip. I've since learned how to fix that by using this advice from the Nail Candy people "Our polish bottles are flexible plastic, so when you put the brush back into the bottle to use the micro-tip applicator on the other side, squeeze the bottle until the polish is at the top of the plastic container. Keep squeezing as you screw the applicator on, and release when the applicator is completely attached. That way, it creates a vacuum that keeps the polish in the bottle. You will have MUCH more control over how much polish comes out the tip, no more oozing or air bubbles! And always remember, never press on the tip, squeeze the bottle to get polish out of the tip". You can see another look I made with this set here, where I had more control and got a more even line.
So, like I mentioned, this was my first time using these pens and had some issues with bubbling and oozing from the art tip..but even so...I think this turned out ok!
I painted on the frosty white from this set, it's a high quality great formula polish in these little tubes!
Then I embellished with the nail art tips. Definitely takes some practice, but easy to learn. Make sure you follow the tip I gave above, and you will get more control of the polish flow when you use the tip instead of the paint brush.

What do you think? Would you try something like this for nail art?

Be well!

Let's see what everyone else did for today!
