Ornament Nail Art with Zoya Logan and Aurora (Swatch and Review)
Hello :)
I have Zoya Logan and Aurora to show you, from the Ornate Holiday 2012 Collection. You can purchase these from Zoya.com. I was brainstorming to figure out how I wanted to combine these two colors when I suddenly felt compelled to make "ornaments" given the name of the collection. I'd put Logan and Aurora on my tree ;)
To get this look, I applied base coat and 2 coats of Zoya Logan, which went on true to Zoya style without a hitch. Once it was dry I used my smallest dotting tool to dip into Aurora and draw swirls and place dots. That's it. Top coated with Seche Vite.
Zoya describes Logan as "a full coverage, yellow-toned forest green with dense, foil-like yellow-gold and blue-green duochrome shimmer! Rich color, a sparkling finish and a subtle duochrome effect make this green very special." I agree! It dries very quickly given the high foil content, so if you try to reswipe with the brush, you may run into trouble. This is 2 coats and NO TOP COAT. I like, ok love, Logan way more than I thought I would. There's a lot going on with the duochrome, and gold foil. Not an ordinary green, that's for sure.
I actually found these pretty hard to photograph! I needed a lot of light to show off the detail of the swirls and how pretty Aurora is, but then the reflective foil in Logan would confuse my camera. I hope I was able to show the beauty of both of these!! Zoya really outdid themselves with this collection :)
Be well!

This one is before the top coat went on. I kind of like the texture of the swirls.
