Abstract Nail Art Challenge - French Tips

Hi everyone!
Here I am on the verge of completing my first challenge (April Showers Bring May Flowers hosted by Polished Prisms)...so what do I do? Jump on board another set of 15 challenges!!! I'm really appreciating the the way participating in these helps me grow and practice my nail art skills, plus there's all these great amazing ladies to get to know :) This next challenge was created by Emily over at The Lacquerologist. She, Stephanie from Sincerely Stephanie, Jessica from Beautygnome and I will be participating this month. Every other day, all four of us will be posting a new manicure.

Day 1, today is "French tip" which of course I wanted to do in a more modern french tip than the pale nails with white tip.
I used 2 colors from the amazing Runway set from The New Black which can be purchased from Sephora for $32. I used the gorgeous nude cream for the base and taped off the top with the red, which is an easy jelly formula. Both went on without any issues.
Base coat, 2 coats of the nude and 1 coat of red on the tips.
I love this set, there are sooo many possibilities with all these colors! I will be showing you some more nail art with these in a few days :)

I'm loving this french. Such a clean look like the french always is, but updated and more fun!

Here is the challenge that we will be working on this month. Many of these, I've never tried before!

  1. Oooh! I really like the combo! Definitely pin up girl - esque! Adorable!

  2. In one of those pictures the tips looked matte! Before you remove these you should try that- I think it'd look so chic!

    1. I almost always prefer shine..but you are right, this would look great matte too :)

    2. Ohh no I definitely love the shine. I clicked and saw how shiny it was and was like ooooohh it's actually glossy oooohhh hahah

    3. I forgot to post that I top coated with Seche..gives the best glossy shine :)

  3. I'm very excited to be following you and to see what you come up with this month!

  4. OMG. I rest my case, you and Katee are both nuts. This looks beautiful as always.

  5. LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! French with a twist- be still my heart! I've seen The New Black sets a few times on blogs now and I'm wanting one more and more every day! Plus, that nude color is one I desperately need.

  6. Gorgeous! Love the The New Black set!! =)
