Abstract Nail Art Challenge - V-gaps
Hi lovelies,
So, I actually had to google what the Day 4 challenge was, I had never heard the term V-gap before. Obviously then, this is my first time creating it and I was sure I'd just want to get it done and then take it off. How could I be more wrong? This has turned out to be one of my favorite designs!! I love love it!
As soon as I saw the design online, I picked my colors. Gold and turquoise...so I thought. And then I tried it with this hot nearly navy blue and there could be no other :)
Here are Sparitual Undercurrent from the Water collection and Aurum from the Gold collection. They are both amazing. Undercurrent is a gorgeous deep blue creme. Perfect in 2 coats. And Aurum? My god, Aurum. It is literally like painting your nails with liquid gold. And not that cheapo 14K gold. I'm talking 24K gold. It radiates. It sparkles. It glows. Sigh. The formula was thin, I used 3 coats..but it never got thick on the nail and applied like a dream.
So, forgive me, but I just could not narrow down the photos anymore. I can't believe how much I love this very simple design. I think my next challenge is going to be late, due to me not wanting to take these off!!
What do you think? Is this a look you would wear? Do you like the color combination? I can't wait to try this in different combinations too!
More from this challenge on Saturday:

DeleteBeautiful job and color combination! I was just wondering how you get such clean lines!? Do you use tape? And if so, how do you prevent the color underneath from peeling off?
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!
Thanks! :)
Hi, Thanks!! Yes..striping tape. I've found it doesn't pull up the bottom color, as much as regular tape might. Also, the bottom layer has to be perfectly DRY!! Glad to have you reading!! :)
Deletebeautiful!
