31DC: Day 13 - Animal Print/Digit-al Dozen Blue Week (Leopard nail art with Rescue Beauty Lounge) )
Hi everyone :)
Moving right along, day 13 asks us to do animal print. I've only done leopard print one other time and I really liked it. See it here. I think this one came out even better :) Such a fun look!
This is Bella. I almost gave her up for adoption. After my first attempt...and 3 coats of streaky dragging ugliness I decided to start over. Bella does not like to be rushed. The 31DC wants me to rush. See now? That's a problem. Sigh. Anyway!!! I started again and let the first coat dryyyyy before applying second coat. Another pointer, do not press down hard with your brush. Just let the polish glide out and leave it alone! So, this is 2 coats. And yeah. I love her.
This mani makes me happy. Happpppppyyyyyy I tell you. What soothing colors. It's exactly what I was going for. Are you a traditionalist with your animal print? Or do you like to colorize it? Do you even like animal print? I like it in small doses :P
Hope you have a great day!

Bella with Bikini Bottom splotches that I applied with a dotting tool. She's looking kinda sick, no? On most spots, I went back and added a second coat because BB is sheer. And did I mention, one of my favoritest ever!!
I used the dotting tool again to apply my outline in Faraway. Which is also my favorite. So. I have a lot of favorites. I DO. Don't you? :D This mani makes me happy. Happpppppyyyyyy I tell you. ReplyDeleteLove this! I am not an animal print kinda girl, but I love this subtle look. And I love my Bella!
ReplyDeletePeople have gotten so creative with animal print that I just hope I can find something as surprising as a poison frog or clownfish to put on my nails. I still need to try the leopard even! I want to do a crazy colour Lisa Frank one someday xD
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and different! I like it!!
ReplyDeleteYour leopard is so different and beautiful! :-) I like leopard-manicures, I think I've made 5-6 of them and all were kind of strange, I used different colours than the colours that leopard has in real life... :-)
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I need to try this technique sometime! :)
